David is from the Lille in north of France and trained to be a chef in the south west ( Montauban). He continued his culinary journey in many different countries including South America and the French Caribbean. He finally made it to Ireland 16 years ago and hasn’t looked back since.
David finished out is career in the Merriman hotel in Kinvara as head chef where he served his loyal customers daily and managed the kitchen. David had the idea of a food truck for a few years and soon realised with this new world we now live in that this was the best option going forward and so The Food Truck Chef was born.
Joanne is from Lisnagry, Co. Limerick and started working in the hospitality industry from the age of 15 in Finnegan’s bar & restaurant. After finishing school she continued a career in hospitality in Limerick, Clare & Galway before returning to her native county in 2016 with David in tow.
When Covid 19 hit Joanne found herself suddenly out of work and herself and David decided to set up their own catering company from their home. Murroe Catering Service. Cooking and delivering meals five days a week to elderly and vulnerable people cocooning in their community . The business quickly took off and soon they were cooking for lots of neighbours and families. Joanne brings a wealth of experience having over 20 years experience in hospitality.
